As a henna artist I want to be able to give you the best possible henna stain for your special day. My henna paste is freshly mixed about 2 days before your event and contains only natural ingredients. However, the colour achieved can vary from | ![]() |
Before the henna event:
- Oils / lotions act as barrier between the henna and the skin preventing a henna stain from developing. So, make sure the skin is free of any oily products.
- Any manicures, pedicures, waxing, threading etc. should be done before the henna event (preferable the day before). Doing these after will hinder the henna stain.
During the henna event:
- Longer the henna paste is on the skin, the darker the henna stain will be. Ideally the henna should be kept on for at least 1.5-2 hours minimum.
- Keep the hennaed area as warm as possible. Warmer the area, better the stain. Cold hands / feet tend to give a poor colour.
After the henna event:
- Do not wash the henna paste off with water. You should be able to simply scrape it off.
- When the henna paste is removed an orange stain will be seen which then darkens over the next 24-48 hours to a deep brown/mahogany colour.
- Avoid contact with water for at least 12 hours
- Avoid excess exfoliation of the skin
